That is the process by which people never stop learning to drink: constant adjustments to drinking styles take place. Theoretically, all eight styles in the dose/meaning matrix can occur, but obviously some are more common than others. Most heavy drinkers have deposits of fat in the liver cells (fatty liver) because of difficulty in disposing of fatty acids. This is not thought to be a precursor of cirrhosis, and disappears with abstinence.
